Sonny Angel

Max built this 93 cu. in. nitro burning fuel injected Vincent racer in his garage in Grove, Oklahoma in 1987.

The bike's best was 205 mph by the tachometer a couple of years later at El Mirage, with Dave Breeden on board. No timing slip on the 205 mph run; however, the bike holed a piston 200 yards off the line, going through the traps at over 150 mph, one mile an hour short of setting the record for that class, which was held by a Harley Davidson -- and almost did it on one cylinder!

Max says that after one of Sonny's runs he commented, "That was the fastest I've ever been on a motorcycle!"

The bike is being restored by it's current owner, John Hanson of the Southern California VOC.
